Managing Challenging Behaviour
- To receive a bank of behaviour classroom behaviour management strategies
- To develop understanding of how to ‘read’ behaviours and respond in the moment.
- To develop behaviour analysis skills to inform planning and make reasonable adjustments for pupils with SEND.
This is a course where practical strategies will be shared and evaluated for impact. Our most common behaviour management strategies will be explored for their impact to inform our choices in the moment with pupils who are struggling. Delegates will come away with a bank of strategies and resources aimed at increasing confidence when supporting pupils struggling beyond low level classroom behaviours. The course provides tangible examples of strategies that could form the basis of agreed responses to behaviours in the school’s Behaviour Policy.
