Primary Music Subject Leader Network - NOW AT ROCHDALE MUSIC SERVICE
- This course will include 6 meetings each year initially –one per half term, and its purpose is to bring Primary School Music Subject Leaders together to share information, resources and good practice.
- If you want to continue to develop your music leadership and indeed the musical opportunities you offer to your students, this is the course for you
The sessions will be led by Rochdale Music Service Leaders and as well as providing information directly to subject leaders, there will also be opportunities for networking and sharing of resources from school to school. By attending these sessions, your music leader should be able to stay up to date with current expectations and curriculum development, take away great ideas to develop and improve music in your school, build musical partnerships with other schools and music leaders/organisations and have access to special offers and discounts on music related software and resources.

Graeme Genty – Schools and Curriculum Lead for Rochdale Music Service
Having been a primary school teacher, deputy and headteacher including being music subject leader in various schools, for 26 years, Graeme joined the music service I April 2022 as their full time Lead for Schools and Curriculum. As an active and energetic musician himself, Graeme joined the music service to follow his love of music, music education and performing live, with his ultimate goal being to support the development, growth and access to high quality curriculum music and musical opportunities for the young people of Rochdale. ‘Living the dream’, and now working full time in music, Graeme can now combine his extensive education teaching and leadership experience with his passion for music to support teachers who share his passion for giving children wonderful musical experiences and opportunities.
