Preparing for a Music Deep Dive – Help!

  • This course will give school leaders an insight into what a Music subject deep dive may involve and how to best prepare for one.
  • This will also include insight and advice about how your music provision in school could and should look in order to be successful and to be able to showcase the work that you do throughout the year.

The course will include input from a primary school music subject leader who has recently had a mock Music Deep Dive, including the outcomes and feedback from this mock inspection and possible actions from it.

The course leader has been researching Music Deep Dives for the Greater Manchester Music Hub and recently visited a school in Newcastle which was part of the Deep Dive pilot.

By the end of this course, music leader should leave more confident and able to evidence the work that takes place in their school and follow clear advice to support a positive deep dive outcome.
